Who Should Attend?
The challenges math educators face today in achieving and sustaining state-mandated math standards in the classroom continue to grow more complex and demanding. At the same time, the quality of teachers’ knowledge, their assessment abilities and their advanced instructional skills play a profound role in the overall achievements of their students.
At this year’s Math Recovery National Conference, teachers and administrators will deepen their understanding of how young children learn mathematics, and how to best support that learning.
Sessions are designed for a variety of audiences. These include:
- Elementary classroom teachers
- School and district administrators
- University teachers
- Math Recovery Intervention Specialist teachers and leaders
- Add+VantageMR teachers and champions
- SNAP teachers and facilitators
- People interested in the teaching and learning of elementary mathematics
The Conference provides an excellent opportunity for participants to network with – and learn from – other teachers and math educators from school districts around the country. We have structured this year’s event to spark creativity, interaction, and the collaborative sharing of ideas and experiences which focus on children’s developmental thinking and their steps along the pathway to numeracy.
