How to Initiate a Contract for In-District Training

Bring Math Recovery Programs to YOUR District

The US Math Recovery Council can arrange for one of our most experienced consultants to conduct courses for teachers in your district. Once you have selected the program that is right for your district, please contact Jenny Cobb (jenny@mathrecovery.org or 1-800-816-5631) with information about the approximate number of participants and possible dates for the training. Also feel free to contact Jenny with any questions you might have about bringing these programs to your district.

Math Recovery Intervention Specialist Program

This year long course focuses on the theory, assessment, and teaching of Math Recovery principles to advance the mathematical knowledge of low attaining first grade students

  • Includes ten days of MR Intervention Specialist training as well as on-site coaching visits
  • Program fee includes the travel and support costs for on-site instructor follow-up
  • Cost of the program is $4325 + the cost of the Teacher Kit for the first teacher with scalable discounts for additional participants.
  • A minimum of six participants is required to bring this program to you

Add+VantageMR Course 1 and Course 2

Course 1 is a four-day program with the option of the additional Course 2 two-day program for teachers to gain a practical understanding of how children develop mathematical knowledge, learn Math Recovery strategies, and develop expertize in applying them in the classroom.

  • Provides detailed diagnostic assessments to understand each child's level of proficiency with computation and number sense as well as application of teaching strategies to guide development of mathematical reasoning
  • Cost of Course 1 is $995 per participant (includes all course materials and teaching kits)
  • Cost of Course 2 is $495 per participant (includes all course materials and teaching kits)
  • A minimum of 10 participants is required for both courses to bring this program to you

SNAP: Student Numeracy Assessment Progressions

This is a two day course focuses on early number assessment that covers the early numeracy learning framework and implications for teaching.

  • Uses SNAP numeracy assessment profile for quick, targeted assessment
  • Cost of the program is $299 per participant
  • A minimum of 15 participants is required to bring this program to you
