About This Course
Fractions Champion begins with a focus on working as a practitioner. We will launch this portion of our learning with virtual cohort meetings the week of December 11. Watch for communications to choose which day/time works. During December and January, participants are expected to work with students in an intervention-like setting using the fractions content. Instruction should include assessment to provide initial assessment data as well as the tasks and activities in Developing Fractions Knowledge. Two additional virtual meetings will take place in December and January to support this work with students. (NOTE: December/January are 90-120 minute virtual meetings, not full days of instruction. Three meetings prior to the face-to-face dates.)
Fractions Champions will then come together for three face-to-face dates in Apple Valley, MN on February 7-9, 2018. (NOTE: A CHANGE FROM PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED)
These days will focus on the content knowledge as well as delivery and implementation for Add+VantageMR® Fractions.
Following the face-to-face dates, an additional three virtual cohort meetings will take place to support you in new role as a Fractions Champion. We do encourage participants in this course to consider running an Add+VantageMR® Fractions in the spring of 2018.

Course Details
The AVMR Fractions Champion course prepares Champions to conduct the course in their own district. The course builds the necessary knowledge required to facilitate and support a district implementation of the Add+VantageMR® Fractions course.
