Add+VantageMR® Exploratory Awards are open to individuals or teams who are interested in getting started with Add+VantageMR® professional development.
USMRC is awarding scholarships for Add+VantageMR® Course 1. Whether this is your first experience with Add+VantageMR®, or if your school is hoping to bring it back after years of not using Add+VantageMR®, submit your application today.
At this time, with such a high demand for scholarship requests, only applications from United States educators will be considered. USMRC would love to explore offering awards to international educators as/if demand or capacity changes.

The need for being able to quickly connect with students is at an all-time high. We at Math Recovery want educators to be able to experience high quality, evidence-based professional development. Add+VantageMR helps educators pinpoint students' current understandings and skills in mathematics and how to best address the next likely learning.
Add+VantageMR instructors will guide you as you incorporate meaningful mathematics lessons in your virtual, blended, and face-to-face environments. Accelerate your ability to recognize students' current levels of numeracy understanding to make data-driven instructional decisions through Add+VantageMR assessments, data collection, and teaching tools.

AVMR 1 includes foundational learning of whole numbers, arithmetic, and number sense. AVMR 1 empowers participants to use dynamic diagnostic assessments and learning trajectories to inform teaching of topics such as number words and numerals, structuring numbers, and addition and subtraction - all of which affect the development of future mathematical understanding. Why Should I Apply?
Add+VantageMR® Course 1 (AVMR 1) supports elementary educators in diagnosing and advancing student understanding and numeracy development. Participants leave the course ready to work with students and implement new knowledge in their assessment and teaching practices to meet the needs of a diverse range of students. While content within AVMR 1 addresses elementary mathematics content, educators of all grade levels have found the course beneficial for identifying what students know and what instruction is likely to advance students' knowledge.
Who Should Apply?
The Add+VantageMR® Exploratory Award is meant to benefit a school that is not currently implementing any Math Recovery® programs. Any educator is welcome to apply, including but not limited to, the following:
- classroom teachers
- special education teachers
- math interventionists
- math coaches
- para-educators
- building and district administrators
Applications can be submitted individually or as a group if more than one educator from your school would like to attend.
We are currently not accepting applications, sign up to be notified when applications are open.
All applications will be reviewed after the deadline. Notifications for awards will be sent out after all applications are reviewed.
Course Expectations: Participants must commit to attend all 8 Add+VantageMR® course sessions, actively participate in sessions, and complete all assignments. Participants must have their own dedicated space and computer for the online, interactive course sessions.
