Michigan invests $3.55M in KRESA-led Math Recovery training

Kalamazoo RESA (KRESA) has been awarded $3.55 million by the Michigan Department of Education to enhance early math education through Math Recovery training. This funding, part of a larger $25 million state initiative, will empower over 2,000 K-5 educators and specialists across Michigan to improve math instruction. Math Recovery focuses on individualized strategies to advance each student’s mathematical understanding. KRESA’s project, selected from over 100 proposals, collaborates with multiple school districts and ISDs statewide, aiming to create a network of math expertise.
