Subtraction Action: Casting light upon student knowledge

Friday, November 15, 12:30 - 2:20 pm with Mike Busch
Come to dig into and discuss the relative sophistication of subtraction strategies that students display when solving problems.  We will focus on examining student strategies and identifying the underlying knowledge and skills needed to employ such strategies.  The group will interact and compare reflections. We will identify the many factors that influence our assessments of current student understanding, while justifying similarities and discussing differences in our analysis.

You can learn more about each session and presenter on the ACTM Fall Forum website.
